The app supports both MFI and Steam controllers. Valve has removed this option from the initial version of the software to appease Apple’s censors so it looks like you’ll need to turn to your desktop to buy games. What you won’t find is the option to purchase new Steam games directly on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV. The software uses H.264 video encoding to deliver game action in up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second over a local Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.

I’m not updating to Windows 11 anytime soon, but it is good to see Valve bring in support this early. Today, Steam Link has been updated to support the new iPad mini and to allow for streaming from Windows 11. These updates have added full keyboard and mouse gameplay, rumble for controllers, and more recently PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controller support. Ever since Valve brought Steam Link (Free) to iOS following a long period of uncertainty, it has been updated quite a bit with useful features and enhancements.
